Shipping & Handling Costs
We ship using UPS Next Day Air because they have proven to be the best, most reliable carrier available. UPS guarantees arrival before 10:30am in most places, please use UPS' calculate time and cost tool using zip code 94545 as the ship from zip code for specific delivery times in your area. Below is a shipping cost chart that you can use to estimate the shipping costs for you order. All orders are subject to a $9.99 box and handling fee.

The Box & Handling Fee includes a styrofoam insulated box, polybags and staples for bagging corals and fish, and heat or cold packs when necessary.
Shipping Schedule
This shipping schedule applies to all customers that do not request a specific shipping day.

Orders made before 10:00am PST will be shipping out the same day.
Purchased before 10:00am PST on: Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday-Sunday

Delivered on: Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Tuesday

Orders made after 10:00am PST will be shipped the next available shipping day.

Signature Release
Our packages require a signature to be delivered. UPS will not leave the package without an adult signature. We can remove the signature release if you like; however, packages without a signature release will void all guarantees. If you would like us to remove the signature release, let us know in the comments section during your checkout.
UPS Hold at Location
With UPS, you can choose to have your package held at a local UPS Customer Center (staffed location) for you to pick up. This option is actually preferred because the corals will be kept inside, away from any potentially harmful weather conditions. Your coral will still be covered by our guarantees if you use this option; however, we will require that your order is picked up before 12:00pm on the delivery day. Please see our guarantee page for more information.

To find a local UPS Customer Center, please visit the UPS website. NOTE: your package can only be held at UPS locations that are labeled, UPS Customer Center Staffed Center. If you would like to use UPS Hold at Location option, please let us know in the comment section when you checkout or simply email us immediately after placing the order. Please include your invoice number on the email for our reference.
Shipping in Hot or Cold Weather Conditions
If you are experiencing extreme weather conditions (below 45 degrees or above 85 degrees), we will strongly recommend that you use the UPS Hold at Location option, please read above to more information. This method will prevent large temperature shifts between the transit time from the shipping carriers’ facility and your home. Failure to have your order held at a UPS Station during hot or cold weather conditions will void any guarantees.
Adverse Weather or Other Delays
If you are having adverse weather or any events in your area that may delay the transit time of your order, it is your responsibility to inform us before 9:00am PST of the ship-out day so we can hold off on shipping. Any shipping delays caused within your immediate area will void all guarantees. The shipping carrier will not reimburse shipping fees or the cost of goods as a result of any delays.
Delayed Packages
In the event of that your package was delayed or severely damaged due to the shipping carriers negligence, please follow these steps:
  • Contact us via email by 9:00PM if you have not received your package; make sure to include your order number, tracking number, and contact information.
  • Accept the package no matter what condition it is in when it arrives.
  • Keep all the contents of the package.
  • Do not throw anything away.
  • Open the box and check if for any survivors.
  • Only save those animals that you are 100% sure that they will make it; otherwise, leave them in the original packaging. You will not receive credit on any pieces that are missing.
  • Provide a follow up email within 12 hours after you received the package, make sure to include your order number, tracking number, and contact information.
You will be given back store credit on the DOA items. All credit will expire after 90 days.
