Aquatic Collection is a homegrown business located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Started in 2003 with just a 30 gallon tank selling rose anemones locally, our business quickly outgrew that small tank and a large 800+ gallon system was set up inside a garage to house our growing collection of corals. From there we began selling our corals online via Ebay and our website, and that's when Aquaticcollection.com was born. For 4 years we consistently sold corals online, always aiming to improve our shipping and coral husbandry skills. Eventually we found ourselves again running out of space to house our corals and moved our business to our current location in Hayward.

A lot of attention was paid to making our store clean and well laid out. We want our store to feel modern and inviting, and also be efficient. To house our corals we are using custom made fiberglass tanks that are wide and flat making them ideal for housing and growing corals. The shallowness of our tanks allow us to be more energy efficient because the corals are closer to the surface of the water giving them more usable light, and while some of our tanks are very large, we are able to create enough flow using only 3-6 small modified maxijet pumps @ 8.5 watts each.

Our lighting equipment consists of custom made canopies housing lumenarc reflectors with either 250watt or 400watt reeflux 20,000K metal halides.
